Jamal Sadoun, C.P.M., BSME

President & Founder

 

Mr. Sadoun is a certified purchasing manager, a professional sourcing consultant and a founder of Global Sourcing Solutions & Commerce LLC.  Prior to starting this company, Jamal directed global sourcing and supply chain management at GE/FITCH, a joint venture company of GE Plastics and Fitch.  His responsibilities included manufacturing engineering, global sourcing, purchasing, and logistics.

Jamal utilizes conventional and e-commerce methods to identify and develop a reliable and cost effective sources of supply. He is a skillful negotiator in achieving the cost reduction objectives. He is skillful in drafting and negotiating agreements, as well as performance contracts.

Jamal is experienced in worldwide air, ocean, and inland shipping and expediting. He is knowledgeable of customs formalities, Import/Export documentation and proper classification.

Prior to GE/FITCH, Jamal ran a family owned international trading and custom manufacturing company for over five years. In addition to day-to-day business management, he developed business and marketing plans, and provided sourcing and purchasing services to foreign and domestic companies. 

Following graduation from college, Jamal worked at General Motors Corporation (Delphi Division).  In his manufacturing engineer responsibilities, he managed several multi-million dollar programs of plastic injection molding of automotive interior trims and components. 

Jamal graduated in 1989 from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  He completed numerous graduate level international trade and marketing courses in the MBA program.  He is also trained in foreign trade and export practices. In 1994 Jamal served on the board of the Toledo Area International Trade Association (TAITA).

Jamal is a member of NAPM-Columbus.  In his civic duties, Jamal serves his community by volunteering and serving as at the local Kiwanis club.
